Who we are

Parish Councils are the most local level of government. There are over 9,000 Local/Parish Councils across England. The only difference between a Parish Council and a Town Council is that the latter has a Town Hall, has decided to call itself a Town Council and has a mayor.

Your Parish Council has overall responsibility for the well-being of your local neighbourhood. Their responsibilities fall into three main categories:
Old Windsor Parish Council provides:
-
Representing your local community
-
Delivering services to meet local needs
-
Striving to improve the quality of life within the parish
We also are a Statutory Consultee on local planning applications and drive our local safety schemes. Old Windsor Parish Council is run by 13 Councillors, all of whom are unpaid volunteers who give up their free time for the benefit of the community in which they live.
